NYCGo.com is a major web portal, funded by a public-private partnership, to promote tourism, trade and business on behalf of the City of New York. Oxford Tech + UX provided a strategic, competitive and user experience site audit as well as comprehensive recommendations on how to improve site usability, revenue and visitor metrics for the site. The city had invested heavily in NYCGo but the site was not performing as projected after a costly redesign; NYC & Co. wanted to know why and sought an objective evaluation by UX and technology experts to provide recommendations. In response, Oxford Tech + UX delivered a 109 page report and Executive Summary to the Chiefs of the NYC & Co. leadership team. The report identified major strategy implementation, UX and usability concerns with site, especially in comparison to its competitive landscape and positioning and why the site was not performing against its stated business goals. Oxford Tech + UX included a comprehensive list of targeted improvements to increase efficiency, usability, traffic, loyalty, usefulness & visitor satisfaction in the report.
